Get a free shortlist of licensed collection agencies

Tell us about the debt. We show you up to three collection agencies licensed or bonded in the state you need straight away, each with its record from the state register, and email you a copy. It is free.
Two quick questions

What kind of organization are you?

If they are in several states, choose the one where most of them are.

Want a closer match? Add a few details (optional)

Agencies that have claimed their page tell us these things. Answer any you like, and agencies that match more of your answers come first.

What would you like the agency to do?

Where to send the shortlist

How we handle what you send is on our privacy page.

What happens next?

1. We check the register Agencies licensed or bonded in your state, from the same register reads as the rest of this site.
2. You get up to three On screen straight away, with a copy by email, each with its register record and a link to its page here.
3. You choose You contact the ones you like.
How we choose the three. We start with every agency licensed or bonded in that state on the state register whose record lists your type of debt. Agencies whose own website says your industry is their specialty come first, then agencies that list it among other work. If fewer than three fit, we add agencies whose record does not say which debts they take, and we tell you so. Agencies that have claimed their page can tell us more, such as their fees, languages and the smallest balance they take. If you answer those questions, agencies whose pages match more of your answers come first, and an agency whose page says it would not take your accounts is left out. Claiming a page is a paid service. If an agency has a public enforcement record, we show it beside the agency, with a link. Agencies that fit equally take turns, so over time each gets the same number of shortlists. A shortlist is not a ranking and never changes where any agency ranks. Every shortlist links to the full list of agencies in your state.

Common questions about the shortlist

Is it really free?

Yes. You pay nothing, and you are not signing up to anything.

Why these three and not others?

They fit your answers best, and it was their turn. Specialists in your industry come first, then agencies that list your type of debt among other work. Agencies that fit equally take turns. Your shortlist says what each one matched, and links to the full list of agencies in your state.

Do agencies pay to be on it?

No agency pays to be picked. Claiming a page is a paid service that lets an agency tell us more about how it works, so it can be matched on more of your answers if you answer those questions. Agencies that fit equally take turns, and a shortlist never changes where any agency ranks.
